Job summary

Weeghman & Briggs seeks a Senior Researcher/Software Developer to support critical government initiatives in Huntsville, AL. The role is onsite with a minimum TS clearance and full-time commitment.

You will analyze requirements, translate them into actionable software solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure security and contract compliance while delivering high-impact results for federal programs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting government or DoD programs.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of scientific programming, algorithm development, software engineering, numerical methods, and technical problem solving.

What You'll Do

What You Bring

• Experience supporting government or DoD programs
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of scientific programming, algorithm development, software engineering, numerical methods, and technical problem solving
• Minimum 12 years of experience with a Master's degree related to the labor category; or related bachelor's plus 5 additional years of related senior experience, for 17 total years, as substitute for master's.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting MSIC and DIA programs
• Agile, cloud, or modernization experience
• Background in process improvement or analytical services
• Experience in CFD, simulation, HPC, ML, physics, and signal processing
