Job summary

Contra Labs is embarking on ambitious research projects at the intersection of human-centered AI and creative multimodal evaluation. This role asks for turning ambiguous client questions into rigorous, well-scoped studies, with ownership from proposal to final delivery.

You will design methodologies, guide data collection, and analyze results to produce client-ready insights and strategic recommendations that shape next steps for clients and Contra Labs.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of research in HCI, ML, or related fields.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative methods and evaluation experience.
• Experience turning data into actionable insights and client-ready recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Define research direction, hypotheses, and study designs.
• Develop proposals and methodologies from scratch.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative evaluation data.
• Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations and narratives.
• Manage end-to-end research engagements from scoping to delivery.
• Collaborate with project leads, researchers, and engineering teams.
