A full-time position for a Senior Research Technician is available in the Slotkin Lab at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center. The Slotkin Lab research program explores the cross-section of transposable elements, epigenetics and genome engineering. The candidate will use this combination to design, build and test approaches to engineer crop genomes. Previous experience is desired in molecular cloning and plant transformation. Responsibilities

  • Maintain precise records of research findings and the analysis of results
  • Establish and run design / build / test pipelines to engineer plant genomes
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, and mentor graduate and/or undergraduate students as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Plant Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics or other related field is required
