Job summary

The Cardiology Research Laboratory at CHOP is recruiting an experienced Research Technician to participate in translational cardiovascular disease projects under the direction of Dr. Robert J. Levy.

A Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline is preferred but not required. The technician will perform cell culture and molecular biology experiments, help with method development and validation, and support animal studies while collaborating with CHOP and Columbia

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related field preferred.
• At least two years of related lab experience or completion of a technical program.
• At least three years of related laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and meticulous recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform research procedures on experimental samples with minimal supervision.
• Assist in cell culture and molecular biology experiments and data recording.
• Help develop and validate new methods; support animal studies as needed.
• Maintain organized lab notebooks, equipment, and safety protocols.
