Job summary

Morgan Stanley's Parametric division is hiring a Senior Research Software Engineer in Seattle to modernize applications and build new tools for portfolio management. You will work with Python, C# or Java, and cloud-native architectures, focusing on secure coding practices and SDLC compliance.

You'll collaborate across teams to implement data integrations with third-party providers, run extensive tests, and review code while staying aligned with AWS services such as ECS and S3.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing cloud native applications.
• Experience with Python, C#, or Java.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (ECS, S3, Batch, EC2).
• Experience with Kafka and Docker.
• Familiarity with Terraform and version control (Git).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop integration solutions with 3rd party data providers and systems.
• Create unit/integration/functional tests and follow SDLC guidelines.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in merge-request reviews.
• Act as security expert for the development team by advocating secure coding practices.
