Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with FEMA P-58 performance-based assessment framework and fragility databases.
• Experience developing and deploying Python tools and libraries.
• Experience with SQL databases, Django, and Git repositories.
• Ability to design, implement, and manage code quality assurance plans and test suites.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Review and refactor the NED database design and data schema.
• Design a scalable data schema to integrate consequence models into the NED architecture.
• Collaborate with NIST researchers and external collaborators to iterate on database design and support implementation.
• Lead development of database management software and web-based front-end tools.
• Contribute to publication of NIST reports and data repositories.
