PREP Research Associate – Emergency Communications and Community Resilience Measurement

This position is part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Professional Research Experience (PREP) program, which supports collaboration between NIST laboratories and research institutions. The associate will support two related projects: the Hurricane Maria National Construction Safety Team Investigation – Public Response to Emergency Communications project, and the Community Resilience Assessment Methodology Project. Responsibilities include supporting revisions to reports, data set finalization, publication of peer‑reviewed articles, and development of community resilience assessment methods.

Responsibilities

• Carry out statistical analyses and interpretation of results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to work with complex data at varying spatiotemporal scales.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship preferred.
