Job summary

The Department of Neuroscience and the Center of Brain Immunology and Glia at the University of Virginia seek an experienced Research Scientist to work in the Kuan Lab, investigating vascular factors in neurodegeneration, thrombolytic and collateral circulation treatments, and neuroglia cell-type determination in murine brain.

Responsibilities include designing and executing experiments independently with minimal guidance from the Lab Head.

Qualifications

• Requires a doctoral degree or master's degree with significant experience.
• PhD in neuroscience, cell biology, immunology, pharmacology, physiology, or related field; >10 years postdoc experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups and work without supervision once objectives and methods are defined.
