Job summary

Vitro Architectural Glass is seeking a scientist to lead exploratory research translating novel concepts into commercially viable products and devices. The role emphasizes hands-on scientific leadership across materials, processes, and device performance.

The candidate will apply deep expertise in electrochemical processes and electro-optical systems, utilizing characterization and analytical techniques to understand material behavior and device function.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in chemistry with emphasis on organic, polymer, chemical synthesis or chemical engineering.
• Demonstrated experience applying expertise to electrochemistry, electro-optic systems, and liquid-crystal materials/devices.
• Proven ability to initiate, design, and execute technically significant experimental/theoretical work.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced scientific and engineering principles to design, execute, and interpret experimental work.
• Independently develop innovative technical solutions and contribute ideas that advance products, processes, or capabilities.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate solutions into system-level designs and applications.
• Maintain strong technical rigor through experimental design and data analysis.
• Support scale-up and transfer of lab-developed processes to pilot/manufacturing environments.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, data summaries and analyses.
• Provide input to safety assessments and best practices for experimental work.
