Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Research Scientist to advance algorithms and software used in mission-critical systems for government and industry.

You will work in a small, innovative team to prototype and deploy high-performance solutions, with emphasis on autonomy, AI, and data processing. A strong academic background and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Applied/Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics and Probability, or related field.
• Experience in differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, optimization; controls, estimation theory, DSP, and machine learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the direction of a small team with your expertise and ideas.
• Create mathematically principled solutions to information science problems.
• Prototype state-of-the-art algorithms in an agile development environment.
• Implement high-performance software spanning tactical systems to web applications.
