Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Research Methodologist to provide scientific consultation and coaching in research methodology for epidemiologic, quality and patient safety, clinical, translational, and outcomes research. This role partners with faculty to design methodology frameworks and analyses to support research projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a health research field is required.
• Terminal degree in a related field is preferred.
• Ten years of related academic or clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with faculty and researchers to lead research methodology meetings and discussions.
• Coaches on applied best practices for quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Develops training programs to coach faculty and researchers on research methods.
• Reviews grant applications, study protocols, publications and reports for methodological quality.
• Leads complex research methodology development projects and promotes cross-team collaboration.
