The Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics Department are responsible for the Clinical Pharmacology characterization for small and large molecule assets across all therapeutic areas beginning with the entry in humans through registration and after commercial launch. The responsibilities encompass the development of clinical pharmacology plans that align with and complement the clinical development plans throughout all stages of development and includes the design and execution of clinical pharmacology studies along with conduct of model-based Population PK and exposure-response analysis to drive dose selection, characterization of DDI liabilities, implications for special populations, understanding the effects of formulation changes, as well as informing other critical drug development questions to influence company decisions. Furthermore, this department is responsible for representing Clinical Pharmacology at health authority interactions and compiling technical documents that are critical for worldwide submissions.

Position Summary / Objective

•Responsible for design and execution of Clinical Pharmacology activities and work on assigned projects.
•Leads, plans, and executes trial level activities and development of compounds while managing data analysis.
•Applies Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics principles and model-based analyses to support drug development.
•Collaborates within Clinical Pharmacology and cross-functionally to assist with functional development strategies.

Position Responsibilities
•Contribute to the development of compounds with some supervision
•Lead design of Clinical Pharmacology studies and manage data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
•Contribute to clinical development strategies of pipeline product
•Proficient in PK, PK/PD, and Model Informed Drug Development (MIDD) principles and analyses
•Acquires and interprets PK/PD
•Participate in interactions with health authorities
•Contribute to and/or lead modeling and simulation plans
•Collaborate on cross-functional drug development teams, regulatory submissions, and departmental

Experience Requirements

For Ph.D. or PharmD, approximately 2+ years’ experience with demonstrated progression in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics knowledge, including knowledge of drug development process

For Master’s Degree, 5-7 years’ experience with demonstrated progression in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics knowledge, including knowledge of drug development process.

Key Competency Requirements

· Knowledge of current practices and issues in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics

· Strong written and oral communication skills necessary to report on and deliver scientific presentations

· Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team-oriented environment

· Serve as the CP&P lead for one or more assets in the BMS drug development program, with supervision

· Programming experience (e.g., NONMEM, R, and WinNonlin. SAS, Monolix, etc.)

· Quantitative data analysis, POP PK/PD, and data visualization skills
