Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Senior Research Grant Analyst to manage a complex portfolio of sponsored awards and ensure timely financial processing. You will input budgets into PeopleSoft, monitor variances, and generate comprehensive reports for investigators and leadership.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, subrecipient invoicing, and supporting pre-award activities. Strong Excel and PeopleSoft experience are preferred, with attention to detail and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related area and 5 years of experience in grants & contracts or equivalent 7 years in related area.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to be task and detail oriented.
• Proficient in using MS Excel; PeopleSoft experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconciles grants, grant budgets and grant related subawards in the PeopleSoft reporting system.
• Prepares financial reports for Investigators to assist tracking and monitoring spending.
• Subrecipient monitoring/invoicing to ensure subawards comply with signed agreements and billing within contract limits.
• Reconciles federal grant awards to federal funds in the federal Payment Management System.
• Assists with pre-award processes including proposals, budgets and forms for completeness and compliance.
• Maintains records related to fund sources, balances and disbursements.
• Collaborates to reconcile time and labor reports with grant expenditures.
• Reviews status updates and projections for specific grants with Principal Investigators.
• Supports year-end audit and Uniform Guidance audit needs.
