Job summary

The Texas A&M System Offices is seeking a Senior Research Development Officer to provide strategic leadership for large-scale research development initiatives across TAMUS member institutions. The role acts as a senior advisor to faculty, research leadership, and institutional stakeholders to increase competitiveness for federal, foundation, industry, and philanthropic funding opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, and refine proposal narratives for federal, foundation, and industry sponsors.
  • Collaborate with faculty to articulate compelling research impact, innovation, and broader impacts.
  • Review proposals for compliance with sponsor guidelines and evaluation criteria.
  • Develop boilerplate content, institutional descriptions, and shared proposal resources.
  • Coordinate proposal timelines and writing schedules.
  • Provide writing workshops and grantsmanship training.
  • Support development of white papers, concept papers, and strategic research communications.
  • Maintain quality assurance processes for major proposal submissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
