Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Carbon R&D Department on onsite roles. You will guide technology development, mentor staff, and ensure milestones align with near-term and long-term business needs, while balancing technical depth and leadership responsibilities.

The role requires strong communication skills, experience with TRL maturation, and the ability to manage complex, multi-project programs within a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of Engineering departmental supervision.
• Experience with TRL maturation and technology roadmaps.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong networking experience to marshal resources.
• Experience managing multiple aspects of multiple R&D projects, including the development and management of program plans, schedules and budgets, while maintaining strong technical involvement with each project.

This is an exciting and critical position that requires strong communication, technical and project management skills with a high-level of engagement and vision. The position reports directly to the Director of Carbon Engineering and will interface with personnel from the production floor to the Landing Systems Executive management team.

What You Will Do

• Working knowledge of advanced material characterization tools/techniques.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
