Job description

The Center for Health Justice and Bioethics (CHJB) envisions a more ethical world where individuals and communities have equitable capacity for health. We are committed to eliminating health disparities through education and research, and dedicated to creating community engaged, trauma informed, and culturally aware research and programs. The Research Coordinator at the CHJB at Lewis Katz School of Medicine contributes to this by providing coordination of community-based quantitative, qualitative, and normative research activities focused on public and population health ethics. The research coordinator will also be responsible for other center-led program management and evaluation activities. The Research Coordinator provides project assistance to the Principal Investigator and Research Director in support of various research activities while autonomously managing day-to-day research activities, such as: designing and planning research studies, bibliographic library curation, overseeing general data collection, mixed methods data analysis, sponsor report preparation, manuscript preparation, and ensuring all projects are completed in a timely fashion. The Research Coordinator will develop into an authoritative source on research practices, precedents, theory, and principles of community-based quantitative and qualitative research activities and will interact with teammates, community members, and justice-involved individuals in a culturally humble manner.
