Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years in procurement/contract management in pharma research.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Self-starter, proactive, and able to work under tight timelines.
• Advanced MS Office, Smartsheets, and contract-management software experience (Omnea, IronClad, Coupa).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Research contracting portfolio, including academic collaborations, CRO agreements, and other external research agreements.
• Serve as a primary connector between Research and G&A functions, translating needs and timelines into actions with Procurement, Legal and Finance/Accounts Payable.
• Lead initiatives to improve Research vendor strategy, processes, and integration with new business systems.
• Define clear R&Rs for CRO and external-provider engagements, ensuring scientific strategy remains with researchers.
• Maintain visibility to purchasing activities, external commitments, budgets, vendor performance, risks; provide reporting and escalation as needed.
• Manage, coach, and develop Research purchasing support resources, setting priorities and service expectations.
