Job summary

Advanced candidates may join as Senior Contract Officer, with broader scope in grants administration and policy. The department emphasizes risk management, compliance, and timely processing of agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree and/or JD preferred.
• 5 years negotiating contracts in the research administration field or related experience.
• 2 years grants, contracts, and/or research policy related experience for the Career level.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft complex contract and grant agreements.
• Consult with faculty and staff to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with sponsors and internal offices on terms and conditions.
• Mentor colleagues and provide guidance on contract negotiations.
• Utilize sponsor systems (Proposal Central, Grants.gov, NIH eRA) for submissions.
