Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a laboratory researcher to conceptualize, design, and execute complex experiments in molecular and cellular biology. You will perform advanced techniques such as Western blots, ELISAs and confocal imaging, while training junior lab members.

You will analyze literature, collaborate with the principal investigator on data analysis and manuscript preparation, and help manage grant budgets and purchasing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate biological/health science or equivalent experience required.
• 3 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year with Master's Degree.
• Doctoral degree in an appropriate biological/health science field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualizes, designs and executes complex laboratory experiments.
• Performs advanced molecular and cellular techniques (e.g., Western blots, ELISAs, confocal imaging).
• Collaborates on data organization, statistics, and grants/manuscripts writing for publication.
• Develops and manages grant budgets and lab purchases; monitors safety procedures.
• Oversees daily lab operations including procurement, technical assistance and maintenance.
