Job summary
Natera is seeking a Senior Research Associate to join the Molecular Biology product development team, focusing on optimizing processes for oncology products and improving assay development for Natera’s cancer detection programs. You will design experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings within a multidisciplinary team, while maintaining rigorous documentation and compliance with PHI/privacy requirements.
The role requires a B.S.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in molecular biology or related field.
- Minimum 3–4 years of industry experience in an assay development department.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and perform experiments for development of non-invasive prenatal tests and cancer detection tests.
- Autonomously plan and execute complex lab experiments and analyze data with advanced tools.
- Maintain detailed lab notebooks; write protocols and document results and interpretations.
- Contribute insights and troubleshoot laboratory processes and protocols.
- Communicate results with a multidisciplinary team (biologists, bioinformaticians, statisticians, software engineers, managers).
- Summarize work in research reports and lab meeting presentations.
- Learn science behind ongoing projects while handling increasingly complex tasks.
