Westat is seeking a Senior Research Associate in Bethesda, MD to lead tasks supporting CMS's alternative payment models with a focus on technical assistance and implementation/operations. You will work in multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and interact closely with clients to meet needs.

The role requires onsite presence 2 days per week and 3 days remote, with responsibilities spanning webinars, TA resources, and research design using qualitative/quantitative methods.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in social sciences, public health, public policy, or related field with relevant experience in TA and implementation.
• Experience designing, leading, or facilitating activities related to TA, outreach, and operational processes.
• Experience with implementation/operations or education to support federal health programs through government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating virtual events, including webinars and office hours.
• Delivering customized technical assistance resources and support.
• Designing and leading research projects using qualitative and/or quantitative methods.
• Working in multidisciplinary teams and mentoring staff.
• Interacting closely with clients and being responsive to client needs.
• Managing a team, assigning work, monitoring timelines, and performing QA.
• Developing and executing processes for tracking operational needs using Excel or Smartsheet.
• Establishing SOPs and QA documentation.
• Coordinating with subcontractors and other contractors as needed.
• Handling multiple projects; presenting findings to audiences and drafting memos, reports, and proposals.
