Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, Inc. (HJF) seeks a Research Associate III to advance immune-inclusive microtumor systems for evaluating immunotherapies at the CBCP labs in Bethesda, MD.

You will generate organoids, perform complex co-cultures, and deploy assays while maintaining meticulous records. You will work with breast cancer models, autologous immune cells, and advanced imaging to drive results within strict project timelines at a DoD-affiliated

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Immunology, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related field.
6–8 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Generate and maintain organoids and subculture from primary tissue culture and perform quality control.
Perfusion and Co-Culture: engineer immune-inclusive microtumor co-cultures with controlled perfusion.
Assay Deployment & Imaging: perform high-throughput tumor-killing assays and in situ cytokine profiling; long-term live-cell imaging.
Data Analysis & Processing: analyze immunophenotyping data (flow cytometry/CyTOF) and transcriptomics; ensure data integrity.
Reagent & Sample Management: procure reagents and document procedures for data collection.
Laboratory Operations & Training: train junior staff and maintain SOP compliance.
May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
