OHSU Knight Cancer Institute in Portland, Oregon seeks a Senior Research Assistant to support drug development projects. You will design and run experiments, work with cellular and animal models, and supervise junior staff in a collaborative team setting.

You will coordinate multiple projects, maintain data integrity, and contribute to planning and scientific direction, with opportunities to train others and advance in a leading cancer research environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a relevant field with 1 year of experience or equivalent.
• Experience with biomolecule bioconjugation and purification; basic molecular biology techniques.
• Operate and troubleshoot complex lab equipment; manage multiple projects.
• Strong organization, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Support lab research and design/implement experiments in drug development.
• Provide oversight in animal work, tissue culture, and data collection.
• Train staff and supervise students and research assistants.
• Coordinate multiple projects; maintain samples and datasets.
• Ensure laboratory compliance and safety; assist publications.
