Senior Research Associate, Compound Management

Yoh is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Research Associate, Compound Management to support research and development in compound management. Responsibilities include handling chemical compounds from receipt to preparation for downstream applications, working with automation systems, and maintaining inventory and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receive, store, weigh, and solubilize compounds accurately.
2. Prepare barcoded plates using automated systems like the Labcyte Echo.
3. Develop and troubleshoot workflows for automation platforms.
4. Maintain inventory with tools like Titian Mosaic and CDD Vault.
5. Follow SOPs and QC procedures to ensure integrity.
6. Collaborate with teams to fulfill compound requests.
7. Register reagents and organize inventory for chemistry team.
8. Manage shipments in compliance with regulations.
9. Support lab maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications:

• BSc/MS in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in an industrial lab, preferably in pharma or biotech R&D.
• Experience with chemical handling, weighing, solubilizing, and safety protocols.
• Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer applications.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with sample management platforms like Titian Mosaic and CDD Vault.
• Familiarity with high-throughput liquid handling systems and robotics.
• Experience developing automated workflows.
• Programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, R) are a plus.

Rate: $40-$56/hr based on experience. Contract for 12 months. Location: South San Francisco, CA.
