Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Senior Research Associate for immediate hire in San Diego, CA. This full-time position (contract duration: 12 months) focuses on developing cell-based assays to support identification and optimization of novel compounds and constructing cell lines for MoA studies.

Ideal candidates will hold a biology degree with 2+ years of related experience or a Master’s with 1+ year. Strong mammalian cell culture skills, transfection, CRISPR, and flow cytometry experience are

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in biology or related disciplines with 2+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 1+ year experience.
Excellent sterile technique in mammalian cell culture with at least 1 year of experience.
Experience with transfection, lentiviral transduction, CRISPR knockouts, and shRNA knockdowns is a plus.
Hands-on assay development or troubleshooting in Western blotting, RNA isolation and QPCR, protein-protein interactions, cell proliferation/viability/cell cycle/cell death assays, or multicolor flow cytometry.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement cell-based assays to support identification, optimization, and characterization of novel compounds.
Develop and construct cell lines and tools for MoA studies.
Design and execute experiments in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and assay development for MoA studies.
Execute routine assays in a consistent and timely manner.
Document, analyze, and present data in an organized and timely manner.
