Job summary

Center for Global Health Science and Security in Washington, DC seeks an analyst to assist with analytic, research, and logistic tasks supporting its research portfolio. This role offers opportunities to engage across projects addressing global health and health security.

You will work closely with leadership, contribute to the Health Security Operations Center, support outbreak response communications, and help shape dissemination strategies for key findings across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the Health Security Operations Center, including research of health threats and Situation Reports.
• Facilitate the National Center Outbreak Response Experts team.
• Help shape communications strategies in support of the Center.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in law, public policy, epidemiology, public health, health economics, health policy, or related discipline.
• 5-7 years of professional work experience
• Demonstrated interest in global health and health security
• Ability to prioritize, focus and achieve results in a fast paced and complex environment
• Ability to initiate and complete tasks under tight deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining attention to results and detail
• Ability to professionally and effectively communicate and work others in order to achieve team goals
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team
• Required skills: Communication (oral & verbal), database management, literature review, online research
• Preferred skills: data visualization and languages in addition to English
