The Department of Ophthalmology seeks outstanding candidates for full-time Research Assistant or Senior Research Assistant positions at UMKC School of Medicine. The selected candidates will assist with preclinical neuroscience, physiology, histology and microscopy experiments as part of NIH-funded research projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2 years’ neuroscience experience preferred.
• Master’s degree candidates should have 2+ years of neuroscience/preclinical work.
• Experience with preclinical physiology, histology or microscopy is valued.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preclinical and neuroscience experiments, physiology, histology and microscopy.
• Maintain preclinical equipment, order supplies, and archive data.
• Prepare biological specimens for imaging and analyze related data.
