Senior Research Assistant will provide technical assistance to two laboratories. The Senior Research Assistant will independently conduct experiments in the general area of molecular and cell biology aimed at understanding retrotransposons in aging using mice and Alzheimer's disease biomarker discovery in humans. This position will perform experiments involving molecular biology procedures related to high throughput sequencing, cell culture, and Alzheimer's disease biomarker discovery. The primary purpose of this position is to help the labs make progress toward their research goals. The Senior Research Assistant will provide technical training and guidance to undergraduate research assistants and work closely with lab personnel to perform experiments.
This is a fixed term position with a current end date of 09/30/2027, which may be extended based upon available funding.
