About the Role

Location: New York City (Hybrid). In-office at least three days per week (Tues, Wed, & Thurs)

Compensation: $185,000 – $205,000 OTE (base + variable) + equity + benefits (This range is reflective of level of contribution. Candidates who fully match what we’re looking for in this role will be at the top of the range.)

About the Role:

You are a former buy-side equity research professional with exceptional analytical and communication skills. You know what it takes to model a company, evaluate a data source, and form a view. Now you want to use that experience to shape how the best investors in the world work. At Daloopa, we are building the financial data infrastructure that public equity investors rely on to move faster and make better decisions and we need someone who understands that world from the inside to help us tell that story. You will own our financial insights function that reinforce Daloopa’s position. You’ll be conducting benchmark studies, producing thought leadership, evaluating competitors, and partnering with internal teams to turn your work into content that drives demand and reinforces Daloopa's position as the category leader delivering high-quality financial data and research workflow products that help public equity investors move faster and make better decisions. If you are someone who loves rigorous analysis and wants to see it actually move the market, this is your seat.

This is not a traditional content marketing role. We are looking for someone with firsthand industry experience to serve as our go-to-market team’s subject matter expert and deliver a range of compelling insights. This includes:

  • Conducting ongoing competitor product evaluations to keep a pulse on other offerings on the market.
  • Designing and executing structured benchmark research studies that evaluate the accuracy of various platforms.
  • Monitoring trends across investment research, identifying timely topics, and creating high-impact content (e.g., blog posts, webinars, white papers, research reports, long-form content) focused on analyst workflows and the applications of financial datasets in order to highlight the value of Daloopa’s product offering.
  • Working with our product marketing team to incorporate key insights into enablement collateral as well as product positioning and narratives.
What You’ll Do

You will generate robust insights packaged as thought leadership and educational content designed to engage buy-side and sell-side investment professionals, strengthen Daloopa's brand, and generate demand.

  • Design and execute structured benchmark research studies that evaluate the accuracy and quality of financial data platforms, including Daloopa's competitors.
  • Monitor trends in investment research and identify timely topics worth owning: earnings workflows, data sourcing, AI applications in analysis.
  • Produce high-impact content including blog posts, white papers, webinars, and long-form research reports that speak directly to buy-side and sell-side investment professionals.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor product evaluations so the teams always have a clear, current picture of the market landscape.
  • Partner with product marketing to embed your insights into positioning, narratives, and sales enablement collateral.
  • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert on investment research workflows both internally and externally.
  • Translate complex financial data concepts into clear, compelling assets that a portfolio manager or research analyst will actually read.
Who You Are
  • You have 3–5 years of quantamental equity research experience. You know financial statements, valuation methodologies, earnings analysis, and what it actually takes to build a research process.
  • You are a former buy‑side professional. You have sat on the other side of the table and understand how investors evaluate data and make decisions.
  • You write. Not just clearly, really well. You can produce polished, publication‑ready content without a lot of back and forth.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing quality.
  • You have a high familiarity with fundamental and market data sources such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet, or comparable.
  • You are curious about where the industry is going. You follow developments in AI, machine learning, and data infrastructure as they apply to financial analysis.
  • Prior experience producing externally published research: benchmark studies, competitive intelligence reports, or institutional notes is a strong plus.
  • Marketing knowledge is helpful but not required.
Success Looks Like
  • Daloopa's benchmark research is cited by buy-side professionals and sets the standard for how data quality is evaluated in the market.
  • Internal teams have a steady pipeline of high-quality insights they can deploy in outreach, demos, and positioning and they rely on you to keep it current.
  • Your content generates measurable engagement from the right audience: analysts, PMs, and research directors at leading funds.
  • You are recognized internally and externally as a credible voice on investment research workflows and financial data infrastructure.
