Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Saint Joseph, MI, is seeking candidates for an Entry level role Senior Representative, Technician. This 5 days a week onsite position at the St. Joseph Tech Center conducts testing on Whirlpool appliances and provides data and analysis to engineering teams.

You will develop and document new test procedures, maintain strong communication with supervisors and other departments, and help drive continuous improvement with 5S mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of test laboratory or technician experience.
• Associates Degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 2+ years Whirlpool test laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience with appliances and testing procedures is a plus.
• Communicating results with recommendations expected.
• Continuous Improvement and 5S mindset encouraged.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential.
• Experience with PCs, Google Suite or Microsoft Office.

This Role In Summary

Whirlpool is looking for qualified candidates for an Entry level role Senior Representative, Technician. This is a 5 days a week onsite role at our St. Joseph Tech Center in MI. Senior Representative Laboratory Technician will conduct testing on Whirlpool appliances and provide data and analysis of testing to engineering teams.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Provide product and component testing, analysis, and problem solving while developing and applying a strong understanding of appliance operations and lab procedures.
• Take a role in developing, executing, and documenting new test procedures, gathering knowledge through test results and applying that information to analyze problems for root cause.
• Maintain a strong communication link to the supervisor and related departments.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of test laboratory or technician experience

Preferred Skills And Experiences

• Associates Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Sciences or a Technical Institute/Trade School technical certificate
• 2+ years Whirlpool test laboratory experience
• Previous knowledge and work with applicable appliances
• Communicating results with recommendations
• Continuous Improvement and 5S mindset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with personal computers, Google suite or Microsoft Office
