• Genuine sourcing ability, drawing news out of contacts rather than reworking press releases
• Comfort with, or a clear appetite to learn, project and infrastructure finance, with direct experience of infra financing a strong plus
• Confidence to build a beat independently, with support, and to represent the title in public

Responsibilities

• Breaking exclusive news across infrastructure and project finance, with a focus on financing across data centres and power markets
• Developing day-two angles and proprietary follow-ups that add detail not found in public reporting
• Producing regular analysis, Q&As and access pieces across formats, including podcasts and roundtables
• Building a contact book across lenders, sponsors, funds and advisers, and representing the title at industry events, including moderating panels

Job description

Build the US infrastructure and project finance beat for an established intelligence business as it expands its North American coverage. This is a subscription platform read by the lenders, sponsors, funds, advisers and lawyers who originate and execute deals, and it has recently secured institutional backing to accelerate its intelligence offering.

You will have the autonomy to develop your own source base and break news, with an established editorial operation behind you. Coverage follows the action, so data centres and power above all, broadening into digital infrastructure, renewables and the broader market as the team grows.

The newsroom is built around actionable intelligence rather than news for its own sake, with stories that move the needle for readers and feed a proprietary dataset and events programme. It is a multi-format role, spanning analysis, Q&As, roundtables and podcasts alongside daily reporting, with travel and speaking at industry events. As the US team grows, there is a clear route into leadership.

Responsibilities include:

• Breaking exclusive news across infrastructure and project finance, with a focus on financing across data centres and power markets
