Description: This position supports the Operations Department by maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient operation. Responsibilities include performing repairs and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, working in various trades such as mechanical, electrical, and sheet metal fabrication. The role requires testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications. Collaboration with management and production supervision is essential to meet production goals and complete maintenance tasks safely and timely.
Essential Functions:
- Perform repairs on equipment, utilities, and systems as assigned.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting, including PLCs, and mechanical repairs.
- Follow safety practices, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Determine materials, equipment, and supplies needed for repairs.
- Train maintenance personnel for optimal productivity.
- Maintain manuals, warranties, and tool inventories.
- Review work orders for proper documentation.
- Ensure safety equipment and procedures are used correctly.
- Demonstrate initiative and uphold high ethical standards.
- Adhere to attendance, punctuality, and dress code policies.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet department goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
Education:
- High School diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- At least 3 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging equipment, or coating lines.
- Over 5 years in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
Skills:
- Ability to plan, organize, and supervise repair and maintenance work (Beginner).
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair skills, with effective communication (Advanced).
- Ability to coordinate programs, prepare reports, and maintain records (Intermediate).
