Amneal Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician for a 2nd shift in Brookhaven, NY. You will be responsible for upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of facility infrastructure and utility equipment to support continuous operations.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe, reliable systems and compliant plant operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in facility maintenance or related experience.
• 2+ years in Pharmaceutical, production and/or laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs plumbing maintenance to provide operable plumbing capabilities to department personnel.
• Maintains and repairs building finishes and support equipment including electrical and plumbing systems.
• Installs insulation for sound and thermal barriers in walls, ceilings and floors.
• Performs painting, carpentry and masonry work to ensure operable facilities.
• Conducts preventive maintenance on all utility equipment, documents records for cGMP compliance.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance including replacement/repair of fixtures.
• Conducts daily inspections and maintains logs of equipment readings.

Responsible for the upkeep, repair, and efficient operation of facility infrastructure and utility equipment. This role ensures all systems are functioning safely and reliably, supporting continuous operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal teams and external contractors.

This is a 2nd shift role:

Tuesday through Saturday (Sun and Monday off), Hours: 3:30 PM to 12 AM

Essential Functions

• Performs plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.) to provide operable and efficient plumbing capabilities to department personnel.
• Maintains and repairs all building finishes and associated support equipment including but not limited to: wall, floor and ceiling finishes, electric systems, plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Installs insulation to building walls, ceilings and floors to provide sound and thermal barriers using various tools and materials (e.g. wire, knives, dust masks, etc.).
• Performs painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g., preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.) to provide operable and efficient facilities for department personnel.
• Conducts repairs and performs preventive maintenance tasks on all utility equipment in the physical plant, in a safe and proper manner and in accordance with SOPs and departmental policies and procedures. Executes general work requests.
• Is proficient in filter installation, maintenance, and testing. Maintains, repairs, installs, lubricates, and adjusts all types of utility equipment. Conducts data recording assignments as required. Prepares and maintains detailed equipment, plant operations, and preventive maintenance records involving all plant equipment for cGMP compliance. Monitors and adjusts building environmental and equipment operational set points. Responds to out of specification situations as required. Identifies and analyzes operating, maintenance, and repair problems and recommends corrective action.
• Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to: replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.)
• Conducts daily inspections of facility equipment and services. Maintains logs of daily equipment readings as required.

• High School or GED - Required

Experience

• 2 years or more in Facility maintenance or related experience
• 2 years or more in Pharmaceutical, production and/or laboratory environment

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $24.00 to $33.00 per hour. In addition, Amneal offers a short-term incentive opportunity, such as a bonus or performance-based award, with this position within the first 12 months. Amneal ranges reflect the Company’s good faith estimate of what Amneal reasonably believes that it will pay for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including but not limited to, qualifications, experience, geographic location and other relevant skills.
