Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Remote Sensing Technician to join our team. The role focuses on post-processing aerial data to final deliverables across markets, ensuring accuracy and reliability of LiDAR and imagery outputs from manned and unmanned platforms.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Remote Sensing leads, project teams, and vendors, with a strong emphasis on quality control, procedures, and ongoing skill development in a dynamic geospatial environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience or Associate degree or equivalent in geomatics/remote sensing.
• Strong understanding of LiDAR and remote sensing principles.
• Proficiency in Remote Sensing software and tools (TerraSolid, RiProcess, MicroStation, MetaShape, Photoshop, PLS-CADD, TopoDOT).
• Scripting and light programming to support automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and explicit attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Remote Sensing leadership and project leads to meet project goals.
• Post-process data to final deliverables for multiple markets.
• Create client-ready deliverables from LiDAR and imagery datasets.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in aerial datasets.
• Perform quality control to ensure accuracy and reliability of outputs.
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures for aerial deliverables.
• Coordinate with software vendors for support and updates.
• Engage in training programs to enhance technical capabilities.
• Support testing and implementation of new software.
