Job summary

Simplex is seeking a senior Information Security Engineer for a short-term contract to strengthen threat detection, incident response, and cloud security across a healthcare technology platform. This 8-week W2 engagement is remote and open to candidates anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

Develop, tune, and maintain detections across cloud, endpoint, network, apps, and containers.
Investigate and resolve security alerts; lead incident response when needed.
Document security incidents with root-cause analysis and lessons learned.
Deploy and support SIEM, EDR, MDR, threat intel, and SOAR platforms.
Design security controls across cloud, network, and applications.
Improve vulnerability management, patching, and secrets management.
Apply AI-first mindset to security automation and threat detection.
Collaborate with Privacy and Compliance for HITRUST, SOC 2, etc.
