Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Data Platform Architect to define and lead the architecture of an enterprise data platform spanning ingestion, storage, processing, governance, and consumption layers. The role sets standards for data modeling, lifecycle management, and partners with data engineering, analytics, ML, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has deep data-platform mastery and architectural judgment, with experience leading large data-platform programs across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 12+ years in data engineering with architecture leadership.
• Deep expertise across two major data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift).
• Strong knowledge of lakehouse, formats, and streaming systems.
• Hands-on with Spark, Flink, or Kafka at production scale.
• Data modeling across multiple patterns; governance and catalog capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture of the enterprise data platform (ingestion, storage, processing, consumption).
• Set standards for data modeling, schema evolution, partitioning, formats, and storage organization.
• Architect lakehouse, warehouse, and streaming patterns with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.
• Design end-to-end pipelines balancing latency, cost, reliability, and maintainability.
• Lead governance, lineage, and catalog tool integration (Collibra, Alation, Unity Catalog, DataHub).
• Define security architecture with row/column controls, masking, encryption, IA access patterns.
• Collaborate with ML, BI, and product teams to align platform with downstream needs.
• Establish data contracts and data-product principles for ownership and quality.
• Lead architecture reviews and guide pipeline/warehouse design proposals.
• Drive cost optimization and capacity planning across the data platform estate.
• Design disaster recovery, multi-region, and high-availability strategies.
• Mentor engineers and architects on standards and best practices.
• Produce architecture artifacts and stay current with vendor/open-source developments.
