Job summary

GovCIO seeks a Data Governance SME to support VA Data Modernization initiatives. You will map and document DataGov policies for data owner teams and utilize Collibra EDC, DQ and Immuta while maintaining SharePoint and Confluence structures.

You will gather requirements, partner with engineers and cybersecurity professionals, and produce scalable, user-focused governance documentation. This role is fully remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
• 12+ years in business analysis, project management, or similar.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint environments.
• Experience working with engineers, architects, cybersecurity professionals, developers, and other SMEs.
• Ability to translate complex cloud/data/infrastructure concepts into concise documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive DataGov policies for data owner teams using Collibra EDC, DQ and Immuta.
• Develop DataGov policy sets for Summit data owners, consumers, and Summit personnel.
• Create forms/pages (PowerApp, SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, Confluence) as requested for policies.
• Build and maintain SharePoint and Confluence structure for DataGov content.
• Generate newsletters, success stories, and other content formats.
• Collaborate with data owners and vendors to obtain information for governance tools.
• Support security/compliance documentation and audits as needed.
• Assist with VA compliance reviews and audit requests.
• Participate in SME interviews and knowledge-transfer sessions to document processes.
