Chads Design Build in Madison, WI is seeking an experienced carpenter to join our residential remodeling team. You will perform skilled carpentry on kitchens, baths, basements, additions, and full-home renovations, reading blueprints and working closely with project managers to stay on schedule.

We value quality workmanship, clear communication, and pride in every project. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, strong finish carpentry skills, and own hand tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of residential remodeling or construction experience.
• Strong finish carpentry and general carpentry skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Personal hand tools and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled carpentry on residential remodeling projects, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and whole-home renovations
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Complete framing, finish carpentry, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other detailed finish work
• Work closely with project managers and fellow team members to keep projects on schedule
• Help maintain safe, clean, and organized jobsites
• Troubleshoot field challenges and contribute practical solutions
• Mentor less experienced carpenters and lead by example
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and coworkers throughout each project
