Job summary

Aalo Atomics is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to lead reliability across components, subsystems, and modular assemblies in Austin, TX. You will define reliability requirements, models, and verification plans to support safety-critical nuclear hardware.

You will review experimental designs, apply Weibull/lognormal life models, and mentor teams in reliability practices while collaborating with design, test, manufacturing, and quality groups to improve robustness and life, ensuring rigorous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven years of reliability engineering or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of reliability statistics, life-data analysis, confidence intervals, sample-size determination, and accelerated testing.
• Experience applying reliability methods to physical components and integrated hardware assemblies.
• FMEA/FMECA, fault-tree analysis, reliability block diagrams, reliability growth, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advance reliability methods for components, subsystems, and modular assemblies across the product lifecycle.
• Design of experiments for reliability estimation, including power calculations and sample-size planning.
• Lead or support risk assessments, FMEA/FMECA, and system-level reliability considerations.
• Create reliability plans, reports, and test protocols for design reviews and external scrutiny.
• Collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, quality, safety, and systems teams to improve robustness.
