Job summary

Aalo Atomics is hiring a Build Reliability Engineer to own build-induced risk across design, fabrication, and testing of reactor hardware. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, test, production, and supply chain to ensure reliable, inspectable hardware and implement durable corrective actions.

You will lead PFMEAs, build-readiness reviews, and production prove-outs, while refining manufacturing and inspection processes to reduce defects without slowing learning or production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; hands-on hardware focus.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, quality, or design for complex hardware.
• Experience supporting fabrication, assembly, inspection, or testing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols.
• Proven track record of corrective actions and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own build-reliability risks from design release through fabrication and ramp-up.
• Partner with Design, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain to define quality plans.
• Lead PFMEAs, build-readiness reviews, and first-article planning.
• Develop and improve manufacturing and assembly processes and checks.
• Review designs for manufacturability and drive design changes when needed.
• Define work instructions, inspection strategies, tooling, and data plans.
• Monitor yield and defects to identify risks and prioritize fixes.
• Coordinate containment with Quality and Production while preserving QA.
