Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer for the Pogo Mine in Alaska. You will drive reliability and maintenance programs across processing and surface operations, reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent.

The role emphasizes RCFA/RCFA, PdM/PM, and continuous improvement to maximize equipment availability, uptime, and cost efficiency while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance at a remote mining site.

Qualifications

5–10 years in Maintenance/ Reliability roles or related.
Experience with vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and UT.
Proven project management, planning, scheduling, budgeting skills.
Knowledge of MSHA regs is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead reliability, projects, and condition monitoring per MSHA and safety standards.
Develop and oversee Reliability Engineering and Continuous Improvement programs.
Manage PdM/PM, vibration, thermography, oil analysis, UT, and condition monitoring.
Lead RCFA/RCA efforts and defect elimination for asset reliability.
Analyze performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and cost reductions.
Oversee scope, design, budgeting, procurement, and construction of projects.
Prepare equipment specs, requisitions, bid packages, and progress reports.
Manage contractors and site access requirements.
