Job summary

Amphenol ICC seeks a Reliability Engineer to develop and execute reliability tests for AI-scale cable assemblies, perform root-cause analysis of failures, and build life data models. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and communicating reliability risks clearly.

You will lead testing across thermal, vibration, and environmental challenges, and connect lab results with field performance to improve product robustness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in reliability engineering, validation, or failure analysis for cable assemblies or connectors.
• Strong understanding of high-speed electrical performance and degradation over time.
• Hands-on mechanical and environmental testing of cable assemblies.
• Proven ability to diagnose intermittent and mixed electrical-mechanical failures.
• Experience with reliability statistics and life data analysis (Weibull, ALT).
• Strong cross-functional communication and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute reliability and qualification test plans for AI-scale cable assemblies.
• Perform thermal cycling, THB, vibration, and mechanical stress testing.
• Lead failure analysis using structured methods (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) including X-ray and SEM as applicable.
• Correlate accelerated test results with field data to validate models.
• Analyze FRACAS, RMA, and deployment data to identify systemic risks.
