Job summary

CGS Federal seeks a Senior Relativity Sr. Systems Administrator to join our Legal/IT team in Boston. You will design and support ALS software solutions using Relativity, iPro, CaseMap, and related tools, while maintaining on‑prem and AWS infrastructure.

You will manage external access, perform regular backups and updates, and produce technical documentation and health reports for IT leadership. Strong communications and security know‑how are essential.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or MIS or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with UNIX, Windows, storage, and litigation support tools.
  • Experience with Relativity, SQL Server 2012+ and related ALS infrastructure.
  • Ability to design, procure, install, test and operate in required environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ALS software solutions using Relativity, iPro, CaseMap, and more.
  • Maintain ALS infrastructure across on-prem and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Manage external access and identity for stakeholders such as experts and authorities.
  • Perform system maintenance including backups, updates, and monitoring.
  • Produce system diagrams, admin guides, and end-user documentation updated semi-annually.
  • Provide weekly health reports and coordinate with IT leadership.

Senior Relativity Senior Systems Administrator

Employment Type: Full Time

Department: Legal/IT

We are seeking a Senior Relativity Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team! You will handle a variety of projects to support and improve the organization’s network systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Automated Litigation Support (ALS) software solutions primarily consisting of COTS tools such as Relativity, iPro, CaseMap, etc.
  • Maintain ALS system infrastructure (storage, compute, network) leveraging on-premise and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Maintain external access to ALS tools including identity and access management for external stakeholders (e.g., expert witnesses, US Attorneys, IRS collaborators).
  • Perform system maintenance including backups, restore operations, application and platform software updates, performance tuning, system monitoring, etc.
  • Produce and update system diagrams, administrator guides, and end user documentation. Documentation must be updated at least semi-annually.
  • Provide weekly reports on system health, performance, completed projects and planned activities.
  • Work with IT leadership supporting ALS applications and infrastructure.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree (preferably in computer science or management information/technology) or equivalent years of experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on, directly applicable experience in implementing systems such as UNIX, Windows, Network Storage Solutions, etc., and at least 5 years in litigation support applications and application software (e.g., Oracle, Relativity, iPro, Concordance, Trial Director, etc.).
  • Experience designing, procuring equipment and software, installing, integrating, testing, and operating in required environments.
  • Experience with large systems comprising a mix of operating systems and functions.
  • At least one year of experience setting up large‑scale database management applications and using applicable database management software.
  • Experience in storage technology planning, performance capacity planning and modeling, applications planning, human factors issues, distributed processing, and business process analysis.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the government’s IT environments, including office automation networks and PC/server‑based databases and applications.
  • In‑depth knowledge of government security requirements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Relativity.
  • Experience with SQL Server 2012 and later.
  • Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Public Trust Clearance.
