Job summary

First American Trust, part of the First American family, is seeking a seasoned investment management sales professional to grow high-net-worth client relationships in a national scope.

You will develop leads, present fiduciary solutions, and oversee the full sales process from prospecting to closing, with emphasis on service excellence and compliance. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of trust/investment sales experience with HNW clients.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; MBA/CFP/CFA preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in fiduciary products and services.
  • Ability to build relationships with advisors and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop leads among attorneys, accountants and centers of influence to sell investment management and trust services.
  • Present seminars on estate planning, trust and investment management to generate referrals.
  • Assess clients' financial pictures and propose suitable fiduciary solutions.
  • Manage the sales process from lead to account setup.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency.

What We Do

Responsible for selling investment services and trust services to high-net-worth individuals and families. Accountable for developing his/her leads primarily through networking with key centers of influence and community organizations and leaders, as well as participating in presentations and events in order to meet revenue goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop external leads through solicitation of attorneys, accountants and other centers of influence including community leaders and organizations in order to sell investment management and trust business.
  • Develop business opportunities through other FAT distribution channels that may exist currently or in the future.
  • Provide periodic estate planning, trust and investment management seminars for prospects and /or professionals as appropriate to generate prospective business and referrals.
  • Conduct review of prospect’s financial picture and recommend solutions to meet stated goals and objectives.
  • During the sales process, provide detailed analysis of complex financial situations in order to propose the appropriate services to the prospective client.
  • Use analytical and sales skills to relate individual customer asset situations to specific products, as well as interactive skills to comprehend prospect needs and respond with the appropriate solutions.
  • Responsible for the sales process from inception through account set-up and opening.
  • Identify issues and inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8+ years of trust and/or investment management sales experience with a strong background working specifically with HNW individuals and their advisors.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MBA, CFP or CFA preferred.
  • Working knowledge of fiduciary products and services, including personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, custody services, financial planning, and estate planning, with the ability to address client questions and support sales discussions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay Range: $102,200.00 - $136,200.00 AnnuallyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
