Job summary

Pekin Insurance is seeking a Reinsurance Program Lead to oversee our treaty and facultative reinsurance operations, ensuring accurate administration, timely financial reporting, and compliance across contracts.

In this hybrid role based in Pekin, IL, you will collaborate with Finance, Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, and external brokers/reinsurers to execute the reinsurance strategy and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics, or related field.
• Typically requires 7+ years of progressive reinsurance or insurance experience.
• Certifications & Licenses: CPCU, ARe, or FCAS/ASAS designations preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day administration of treaty and facultative reinsurance programs.
• Maintain reinsurance accounting, including ceded premium and recoverables.
• Prepare data and documentation for renewal activities for management, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Support internal and external audits with requested documentation and reconciliations.
