American International Group, Inc. (AIG) is seeking a Supervisory Accountant, Reinsurance to join its Reinsurance Controllership team.

The role ensures accurate accounting, strong internal controls, and timely financial reporting for domestic Commercial and Personal insurance businesses. You will manage external excess of loss and quota share activities, including offshore coordination, timely journal entries, and close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance operations and processes
• Experience with offshore teams and global coordination
• Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Coordinate excess of loss and quota share cessions and adjustments on multiple reinsurance programs
• Create and review journal entries monthly
• Calculate premium adjustments for reinsurance
• Coordinate with Reinsurance Collections on settlements and cash application
• Perform reviews in compliance with SOX controls
• Support CFO and FP&A in reinsurance inquiries
• Review Schedule F Part 3 for recoverables, payables and funds held balances
