Senior Reinsurance Claims Analyst

Join Our Team

You will be the Senior Reinsurance Claims Analyst. In this role, you will manage an assigned workload of global Property and Casualty reinsurance claims, ensuring all claims are handled according to regulatory guidelines and company best practices. You will report to the Head of Reinsurance Claims.

Responsibilities

1. Verify coverage on all reported losses and establish claim files on the system.
2. Analyze reinsurance treaties and/or facultative certificates, evaluate, recommend, and post reserves and/or ACR changes on assigned files.
3. Evaluate and verify contractual obligations to pay claims, and process payments and recoveries.
4. Document files with memos, notes, and action plans.
5. Track occurrence and/or aggregate limits where applicable.
6. Conduct internal audits and communicate findings.
7. Prepare management reports, ceded notices, and proofs as needed.
8. Participate in client meetings when necessary.
9. Review and act upon incoming mail/correspondence daily.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; 10+ years of related insurance/reinsurance experience.
• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel.
• Fluent in English; other languages preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, etc.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to claims handling.
• Team-oriented attitude.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated salary range is $100,000 to $115,000, based on experience, location, and other factors. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, flexible work arrangements, and more.
