Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking a senior or lead accounting and financial reporting specialist on the Reinsurance Accounting team. You will own complex accounting and reporting activities and partner across the organization to ensure accurate, compliant results.

This remote role includes occasional travel to Mayfield Village, OH for meetings and training. Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in related accounting with strong reinsurance and regulatory reporting experience, and proven month-end close

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 in related areas.
• Strong reinsurance and regulatory reporting background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own complex accounting and reporting activities for reinsurance.
• Lead month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and billings.
• Ensure regulatory disclosures and financial statements integrity.
• Collaborate with auditors, leaders, and business partners.
