Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont is seeking a Sr. Reimbursement Programs Analyst to join the Data, Governance, and Healthcare Economics team. The hybrid role supports provider reimbursement and value-based care initiatives, with a base salary of $74,000–$90,000 and a strong benefits package.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5–7 years of experience, including 3–5 years in managed care. Advanced Excel is essential, with SAS knowledge highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 5–7 years of related experience; 1–3 years of independent work.
• 3–5 years of managed care/health insurance experience with reimbursement knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial and Medicare payment methodologies strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel is required; SAS programming knowledge is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide data, reporting, and analytical support to reimbursement and value-based care initiatives.
• Calculate, monitor, and track performance; use data to inform decisions.
• Prepare financial and utilization models for provider reimbursement and policy changes.
• Document standard operating procedures and support project work.
• Contribute to meetings with external parties; create presentations to advance strategic objectives.
• Mentor junior staff as required.
