Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Regulatory Rate Analyst, Progression, to design rates, analyze cost recovery, and support regulatory filings. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Rates or Regulatory Affairs and sits within Regulatory Affairs.

Responsibilities include preparing cost recovery projections, conducting rate analyses for customers, drafting petitions and testimony, and coordinating with legal teams. A strong math background and proficiency in MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• Education required: Associate degree in accounting, finance, economics, engineering or business.
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience (accounting, finance, economics, legal support or engineering).
• Strong math aptitude and ability to perform rate design analyses.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost recovery projections, filings and true-up reports for FPSC and other regulators.
• Perform rate analyses for customer groups and classes; evaluate cost-effectiveness of programs.
• Prepare regulatory petitions, discovery responses, testimony and related documents; coordinate with legal counsel.
• Lead or participate in special projects on rate design, planning and tariff development.
• Provide responses to internal/external rate information requests and prepare bill comparisons.
